If you are looking for CBD oil for dogs on the Gold Coast, the short answer is this: it is a hemp-derived, THC-free oil formulated at a concentration suited to animals — not the same as a human CBD oil, and stocked here at CBD Oil Gold Coast with delivery across Surfers Paradise, Southport, Burleigh Heads, Robina and all of QLD. This page covers what is actually in the bottle.

We describe every product by what it contains, not by anything it might do. That applies to our pet range as firmly as to the human oils — no health claims, no veterinary claims, composition only.
What is CBD oil for dogs?
CBD oil for dogs — also called pet CBD oil, dog CBD oil, or CBD oil for animals — is a hemp-derived cannabidiol product formulated specifically for a dog's body rather than a person's. The key word is "formulated": it is not simply a human CBD oil sold in a smaller bottle, but a product designed with canine physiology in mind, most visibly in the concentration of CBD per millilitre and in the serving-size guidance printed on the label.
What the bottle actually contains is hemp extract — cannabidiol drawn from Cannabis sativa L., the low-THC hemp variety — and a carrier oil, almost always MCT (medium-chain triglycerides, coconut-derived). Those are the two functional ingredients. Our pet formulation is also THC-free: the hemp extraction process removes THC completely, so the finished oil contains no detectable THC. That is different from our full-spectrum human oils, which carry a legal trace of THC under 0.3% that is stated on the label.
"Hemp-derived" tells you the source: hemp is a Cannabis sativa L. plant bred to stay below the legal THC threshold. The CBD compound is the same whether it comes from a hemp plant headed for a human oil or one headed for a pet formulation; the distinction lies in how the final product is concentrated, labelled, and sold.
CBD oil for dogs vs CBD oil for humans — the formulation difference
The key difference between dog CBD oil and human CBD oil is concentration and serving size. The compound itself — cannabidiol from hemp — is the same.
Our human-grade oils, like the 1000mg full-spectrum CBD oil, contain 1000mg of cannabinoid in 50ml, which is 20mg per millilitre. The serving guide on a human CBD oil is written for an adult human body. A dog's body is smaller, so the pet formulation recalibrates both the concentration and the recommended serving. Our pet CBD oil puts 2000mg of CBD into the same 50ml bottle — 40mg per millilitre — but the label's serving guidance is sized for an animal, not a person.
There are also label differences that matter when you are comparing products. A pet CBD oil label will show a per-animal serving in millilitres or drops and will typically reference body weight as a guide. A human CBD oil label shows a human serving measure. These are not interchangeable: do not substitute one for the other.
Both the human and pet oils use MCT as the carrier. That is one point of similarity. Everything else — concentration, serving size, label guidance — is formulated for the intended species.
You can see the full human-grade range, including broad-spectrum, CBG, and CBN options, on the products page. The broad-spectrum CBD oil and full-spectrum CBD oil pages explain those human formulations in more detail.
Is it also CBD oil for cats?
Yes — our pet CBD oil is formulated for animals as a category, which covers cats and other small companion animals as well as dogs. We do not stock separate dog-only and cat-only formulations; one pet oil covers the range.
CBD oil for cats and CBD oil for dogs are the same type of product: hemp-derived CBD in an MCT carrier, THC-free, with an animal-appropriate concentration. The same compositional description applies regardless of species. The serving size on the label takes animal size into account, and cats are generally smaller than dogs, so a smaller measured quantity is appropriate — the label guides this.
We make no claims about what pet CBD oil does for cats or for any other animal. It is described by its composition: what it contains and how it is formulated.

How to read the label on a pet CBD oil
Pet CBD oil labels follow the same structure as human CBD oil labels, plus one additional element: serving guidance for animals by weight. Knowing what to look for makes it straightforward to compare our product with any other on the market.
Total CBD in mg — the cannabinoid content in the whole bottle. Our pet oil is 2000mg. Divide by volume to get concentration per millilitre.
Concentration per ml — 2000mg ÷ 50ml = 40mg/ml for our pet oil. This tells you how much CBD is in each measured drop or millilitre.
THC status — look for "THC-free" and a supporting Certificate of Analysis. Our pet oil is formulated to 0% THC, confirmed by batch testing. The COA is available by request; email [email protected] with your batch number.
Carrier oil — our carrier is MCT, coconut-derived. Check the carrier on any product you consider; some use different base oils.
Serving guide for animals — the label will specify a quantity per serving based on animal weight. Do not use a human-formulated oil's serving guide for an animal, and consult your veterinarian before introducing any supplement to your pet's routine.
For more on reading our labels generally, the guide to using CBD oil explains how to measure a serving and what the numbers on the bottle mean.
Is CBD oil for pets legal in QLD?

Our pet CBD oil is a hemp-derived, THC-free composition product. It is not a prescription veterinary medicine; it is sold as a formulated composition and described by what it contains. We make no health or veterinary claims.
If you have questions about the regulatory status of CBD products for your specific animal, speak with a registered veterinarian in Queensland. We sell our range as composition products only, and the rules that govern the category are published by the TGA.
